Project wellspring...
Nearly three years ago I was thumbing through a magazine and on the back cover was a picture of a baby bottle filled with dirty water with this statistic: "4,500 kids will die today from water-related diseases. Help!" I do not know what came over me, but I know that I felt compelled to do something about this problem. Project WellSpring is the name I give to this endeavor. This ministry is based on John 4, and is rooted in the belief that Christ brings the living water that creates a "wellspring bubbling up into eternal life." Project WellSpring is a ministry committed to bringing clean water and living water to communities all over the world. In November 2012, I traveled to Rwanda to look for well-construction sites, in the hopes that clean water would become a reality for people who have never had it. In addition we provided medical supplies, hygiene items, and blankets to people in Gafumba, Shyria, and Nyamutera. This was not a one time mission trip but rather the first of many visits as we develop relationships with the people and invest in their lives. Together we are impacting lives for Christ. There is no greater calling!
We will continue to raise money for water projects which include building wells, providing water filtration systems, and also water cisterns that collect rain water. Most recently we provided two 5,000 litre water cisterns to the village of Gafumba. There are approximately eight more that need to be installed in this location. Each water cistern costs approximately $1,800 to purchase and install. That is where we need your help. Every dollar counts and every penny donated via this website will go to providing clean water for this cause.
I want to thank the many people who have partnered with me and continue to do so. We are making a tangible difference in people's lives. Let us continue serve the Lord together as we meet people's physical and spiritual needs one life at a time.
